1. What activities will participating student do each day?
Each day is a mix of academics – reading, writing and math – and fun activities and field trips. The academic aspect helps students get ready to succeed high school and beyond. We aim to develop skill sets needed after high school. Check out our upcoming and previous events >here<.
2. Who are the adults supervising the afterschool students?
Certified teachers, along with well-known community partners, will lead your high school student in exciting activities inside and outside the classroom. We follow the >Indiana Afterschool Network Standards<.
3. Is this program just for high school students who are falling behind and not doing well in school?
No. We help ALL local high school students get ready to do better in high school and beyond. We offer daily tutoring and homework help and assist students for the SAT, ACT, AP and other standardized tests. We focus on developing leadership skills and skill sets needed past high school. This 21st CCLC Afterschool Program serves incoming and current students of Muncie Central High School and Delaware Christian Academy.
4. What does it cost?
There is no cost for this program! The 21st CCLC grant provides funding for the afterschool transportation and snacks are provided by Muncie’s Fresh Direction nonprofit.

Founded in 2004, the Back To School Teachers Store (BTSTS) is a 501(c)(3) organization. We provide free school supplies to local kids in need through teachers who are employed in Delaware County's K-12 schools, PTQ Levels 3 & 4 preschools and afterschool programs. In 2017, BTSTS provided local teachers $850,000 worth of classroom supplies at NO COST and served approximately 10,000 students in need.
